Bark Busters Company, founded in 1989 in Sydney, Australia, won a huge success offering dog training at home owners.
Bark Buster coached and trained over 150,000 dogs worldwide. Bark Busters was founded 15 years ago by David and Sylvia Wilson. The method of dog training that they put it in place is currently applied in Australia, New Zealand and the United States.
The company rapidly gained ground in the U.S., a market of over 30 billion dollars annually (as Americans spend on pet maintenance). Bark Buster has 40 franchises, planning that by 2005 their number to climb to 100.
Franchisees must have $ 100,000 and invest between 45,000 and $ 70,000. No need for special equipment. All training programs are conducted by certified personnel and consist of a current period of four weeks, totaling 120 h.
Training includes: training of canine psychology, behavioral sciences, canine training, marketing, business management, management training on how successful a Bark Busters franchise, which includes three stages:
1) observation;
2) participation in training under a veteran;
3) implementation of training supervised by a trainer.
